The Rensselaer Professional Firefighters is joining with Project :Cameron's Story in holding a book collection drive from January 10 to February 18.

The goal of Project Cameron's Story is to support the bonding of parents with their premature babies in the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit. Their mission is to place BRAND NEW, quality, children's books in the hands of every parent of a premature baby upon admission to the NICU.

With your help, every family in the NICU receives a book so that when their baby is born too sick or too small to hold or touch, they can still bond with them by reading.

NEW books can be dropped off anytime at the Northend Fire Station 2 St. Francis Place or at Rensselaer City Hall in the Clerk's office on the second floor or the Mayor's office on the first floor between the hours of 8AM and 4PM.

Should you need further information, please contact Firefighter Erik Hopkins at (518) 365-4002 or the Rensselaer City Clerks office at (518)462-4266
