Summer Reading starts June 29th at the Rensselaer Public Library

Launch into a "Universe of Stories" Saturday the 29th.

The free reading program runs from June 29th to August 17th.  Kids ages 2-12 can come in any time the library is open to share what they've been reading (or had read to them) for a small prize and chances for larger prizes. Parents are encouraged to help their child develop a reading habit of 15 minutes a day, reading what they want to read for fun.  The Library can help kids find the books they will enjoy reading. A launch party on June 29th will give out free reader kits between 11-2 PM.

The Library will hold many events over the summer, including story-time for preschoolers, Space Lab for elementary age children, and Anime Club for teens.  Each Saturday will have a family event. Some events require sign-up, contact the library by calling 518-462-1193.  The Library is located at 676 East Street in Rensselaer, across from the Train Station parking lot.
